Use this activity to change the original required dates and quantities of independent demand orders within a simulation profile. You can modify demand quantities either by applying a change factor or by entering a direct value. The updated quantity and/or date will replace the original demand quantity and/or the required date in the next simulation run using the Simulation Profile option as the Simulation Source.
Editable demand sources are listed in the About Material Planning Simulation document, under the Simulation Profile segment.
For Master Schedule-planned parts, you can use the Simulation Abnormal Demand toggle to switch Customer Order demand lines between normal and abnormal demand types.
As a result of this activity, the independent demand quantities and required dates are updated. These changes will be reflected in the subsequent simulation calculations using the Simulation Profile option as the Simulation Source.
