Perform CRP Simulation

Explanation

Use this activity to run Capacity Requirements Planning (CRP) for a selected Material Planning Scenario other than scenario 1 (the live scenario) using the Perform CRP Simulation assistant. The CRP Simulation evaluates machine operation and labor operation loads using the Shop Order Scheduler logic for supply proposals generated by the MRP and Master Scheduling simulations.

You can perform CRP simulation for one site at a time, or if you leave the Site field blank, the simulation is run across all sites to which you have access.

This job is posted as a background job and can be scheduled for later execution.

Prerequisites

• A Material Planning Scenario other than scenario 1 must exist.
• A user-allowed site must exist.

• MRP or Master Scheduling results must exist for the selected site and scenario.

• Machine and labor resources must exist with valid capacity definitions.
• Routing and manufacturing structures must exist for the parts included in the scenario.
   

System Effects

• Simulated Master Schedule proposed receipts (MS Supply) create loads as the load source MS Additional.
• Simulated MRP requisitions (MRP Make) create loads as the load source MRP.
• CRP calculation stops when an error occurs if the Stop CRP on Error toggle is enabled.
• Simulated Master Schedule proposed receipts are included when the Include MS Proposed Receipts toggle is enabled.
• Simulated MRP requisitions are included when the Include MRP Requisitions toggle is enabled.
• Labor load is calculated when the Include CRP for Labor toggle is enabled.
