Move Component Items

Explanation

Use this activity to move items within the project deliverables structure. If material plans have already been generated, they are updated automatically. 

Items can be moved as long as their status is not Complete. Movement is not allowed if materials have been issued to orders, if items are connected to a work order or shipment, or if a child item has a parent item with the supply option PMRP or MRP.

Prerequisites

To move items, the Project Deliverables structure must not include items that:

• Are in the Complete status
• Have been issued to orders
• Have parent items with the supply option PMRP or MRP

System Effects

• The project deliverables structure is updated to reflect the movement of items that meet the allowed criteria.
• A record describing the change is automatically inserted in the Project Deliverables Journal.
