Use this activity to recalculate and update cost, revenue, and hour values for project-connected objects when the information on the project no longer reflects the most current data. A refresh is typically needed in situations such as:
Initiate the refresh from the Project Connections page by using the Refresh Project Connections command. In the assistant, you select what to refresh, for example, all projects in a company, a single project, or all object connections in a project. When the refresh is executed for all projects, it runs as a background job.
The function recalculates cost elements, costs, hours, and revenues from the source objects and replaces previously reported values.
The refresh is executed for activities in Released status. Activities in Cancelled status are not included. By default, activities in Completed and Closed states are excluded, but you can include them by selecting the corresponding options in the assistant.
If you are refreshing a large number of connections, such as during an upgrade, you can turn off Gather Statistics to improve performance. When statistics are disabled, counts of available and updated connections will not be displayed. After the refresh has completed, the results are available on the Project Connection Refresh Runs page.
