Connect Request Tasks
Explanation
This is the process of connecting individual tasks to Request Bundle Tasks.
If the Request Bundle Task already has a Bundle Contractor Order (BCO), the system automatically creates a
Contractor Order for the newly connected task. The system identifies the service associated with the task and
evaluates whether any fixed price lines apply. If fixed price lines exist for the service, they are added as
payment lines. If no fixed price lines exist, the Contractor Order is still created but without payment lines. Task
planning lines are not used in this evaluation.
Prerequisites for the Request Bundle Task
- The Bundle Task's status must be below Work Done.
- The Bundle Task can have recorded Clocking’s.
- Transactions can exist within the Bundle Task.
- If the Bundle Task already has a Bundle Contractor Order, connecting tasks will trigger automatic Contractor
Order creation.
Prerequisites for the connecting task
- The connecting task's status should be below Work Done.
- No Clocking's should be created for the connecting tasks.
- Transactions can exist within the tasks, not based on Work Assignments
System Effects
When you connect a task to a bundle task, the following effects occur:
- Connected task resource demands must be set as Not Allocatable.
- Allocations associated with the connected tasks will be cancelled.
- New transactions within the Bundle Task will distribute costs among all connected tasks, while previous
transactions will remain unchanged.
- Duration and assignments on the Bundle Task must be manually adjusted to accommodate additional
requirements.
- An Event Log will be created upon connection of tasks.
- If the Bundle Task has a Bundle Contractor Order:
- A Contractor Order is automatically created for the new task.
- If fixed price lines exist for the associated service, they are added as payment lines.
- If no fixed price lines exist, the Contractor Order is created without payment lines.
- Task planning lines are not used for payment line creation.
As a result of this activity, individual tasks will be connected to Request Bundle Tasks.
