Use this activity to define a Service Commercial Rule.
Service commercial rules can be configured to set up different pricing logics, costing logics, benefit set ups and entitlement setups to be applied based on complex and versatile scenarios.
First, a Commercial Rule needs to be created, and the search order must be defined to indicate the order of the rules to be executed since some prices, costs and benefits will be applied on first found basis.
After defining the rule, the attributes can be defined. These attributes will be then used to set up different scenarios by setting up different value combinations for them. Each value combination is considered a scenario and under each scenario the price calculation, cost calculation, benefi plan and entitlements set ups can be configured in separate tabs.
The Benefit Plan must be created in the Contract Benefit Plan page if a benefit plan is to be included.
The Entitlement must be created in the Contract Entitlement page if an Entitlement is to be included.
As a result of this activity, a commercial rule will be created along with the necessary scenarios and price, cost, benefit and entitlement configurations. It will be applied automatically when cost lines and sales lines are created for Request RMAS, Pick up Tasks and Request Tasks.
