This activity is used to cancel a request quotation when it should no longer proceed in the quotation lifecycle. When cancelling the quotation, a cancellation reason must be entered to document why the quotation is being cancelled. This ensures traceability and supports reporting and analysis.
Cancelling a Request Quotation formally stops further processing, approvals, revisions, customer communication, or conversion into a Request. The cancellation applies to the entire Quotation revision and all related scopes. If the quotation is currently in an approval flow, any ongoing approval process is terminated as part of the cancellation.
As a result of this activity, the Request Quotation status is updated to Canceled, and the provided cancellation reason is stored with the quotation. Any ongoing internal approval process will be stopped.
