Create New Quotation Revision

Explanation

This activity is used to create a new revision of an existing Request Quotation when changes are required after it has been shared with the customer. Revisions are typically created when the customer requests adjustments to scope, pricing, services, or terms, but has not yet accepted, partially accepted, or rejected the quotation.

Creating a new revision allows the Service Organization to update the quotation while preserving a complete history of previous versions. Each revision represents a new version of the quotation, and changes made in the new revision are tracked and highlighted to provide clear visibility of what has been modified since the last version. Subsequent changes are recorded against the new revision, and the quotation can continue through review, approval, and customer communication processes.

As a result of this activity, a new revision of the Request Quotation will be created. The previous revision becomes read-only for audit and traceability purposes, and the new revision becomes the active working version.
