About Service Execution Portal

The Service Execution Portal for Request Management is a browser-based workspace that lets technicians execute request-related work online without needing a mobile app or offline capability.

It focuses on the most common technician flows from work execution, time and cost capture, material handling, media and documentation handling to task guidance and AI based task briefing.

Users can access their lobby and work list, open detailed work assignments and perform all key state changes and reporting tasks in a single, guided experience.

State Events Handling

Technicians manage the full lifecycle of a work assignment directly from the portal. From the My Work List or Work Detail page they can accept work, start/pause/continue travel and work, mark waiting at location, and move to pending completion. Completion is guided via assistants that support reporting work, future time, customer and executed signatures, reporting remaining work, and starting return travel. Return travel can be started, stopped, and completed from the same flow. Incomplete and cancel assistants handle reject/redispatch and incomplete-without-follow-on scenarios. Each state transition can trigger automatic clocking to ensure accurate, low-effort time capture.

Time Reporting

Time reporting is integrated into the execution flow. User can view existing time reports for an assignment. New time reports can be added during or after completion. Supports for future time reporting through the completion assistant. This gives reliable time data for costing, billing, and productivity tracking without separate tools.

Expense Reporting

The portal enables user to capture costs incurred during service execution. User can view all existing expenses and external costs linked to the assignment. Also can add new expenses or external cost entries from within the work context. This ensures complete cost capture for both internal follow‑up and customer billing.

Task Steps

Assignments can be broken down into detailed task steps to support guided execution. User can view all task steps for the current work assignment through portal. Also user can add new task steps when additional activities are identified in the field. The updating task step status using simple state events: Done, Not Done, or Cancel is supported. Task steps improve control, compliance, and transparency on how work was performed.

Material Handling

User can view and maintain required and reserved material, including issuing planned or reserved parts to the job and editing or deleting planned lines. Also user can receive and, if needed, immediately issue incoming transport‑task material. Further user can review issued and unissued material and perform unissue operations when corrections are required and quickly issue unplanned material from stock.

This provides end‑to‑end control of parts used on a request, from planning and consumption.

Media and Documentation Handling

The portal supports rich documentation of work through media and files. User can view existing media and documentation attachments related to the assignment. Also the supports adding new documents and media items. By keeping media and documentation directly accessible from each assignment, technicians can deliver better transparency, auditability, and customer communication.
