Use this activity to adjust the planned dates of work items in a service project when capacity deficits are identified on the Resource Capacity Gantt. When the initially planned period of a task does not align with available resource group capacity, the planned dates can be moved to a time frame where sufficient capacity exists.
After adjusting the planned dates of a task within the service project, the Gantt immediately reflects the updated capacity situation so that the impact of the change can be clearly evaluated against resource availability.
