Use this activity to indicate that specific work items in a service project will be carried out by contractors. This can be done when a capacity deficit has been identified or when the decision has been made to use contractors regardless of available capacity.
When a work item is marked as contractors required, this indication is shown on the Service Project Gantt for the respective item. If the planned dates of the work item are later changed manually or by using the critical path calculation, the contractors‑required indication is automatically removed, and the decision must be reassessed for the updated dates.
