Use this activity to review resource group capacity from all Service Organizations and Service Delivery Units when planning work in a service project. The Resource Capacity Gantt normally displays the sum of capacities of resources connected to the Service Organization and Service Delivery Unit of the relevant work item within the Service Project. When broader visibility is required, you can include capacity information from the other Service Organizations and Service Delivery Units within the same company to understand whether resource availability outside the primary organization can support the planned work.
When broader visibility is enabled, the Gantt chart presents aggregated capacity information from all of the organizational units within the company. This allows capacity assessment beyond the default scope and helps identify additional available resources when the primary organization shows limited capacity.
