Centralized Reservation, Batch Per Site
Explanation
Use this activity to reserve multiple sources (Supported Sources: Shipment Order, Repair RMA, Project
Deliverables, Supplier Material, Work Task) in batch per site, either directly or as a scheduled task to run as a
background job. All Shipment Order lines, Repair RMA lines, Shipment Plans in Project Deliverables, Supplier
Material and Work Task containing unreserved material are taken into consideration. The reservation will be done
according to the automatic reservation logic i.e. according to rules configured for FIFO, zone ranking, handling
units etc.
If the quantity of a source line is connected to a shipment, the reservation is done per source line and
shipment. Note that Work Task is always an internal demand and can never be connected to a shipment.
The Default feature enables you to use the default settings. Default settings are derived from
the Database Tasks page set by the administrator.
If you no longer want to pick the entire reserved quantity, it is possible to change this on the Manual
Reservation pages (Manual Reservation for Shipment Order Line, Manual
Reservation for Shipment Plan etc.). For parts, query for the Source (Shipment
order, Repair RMA, Project Deliverables, Supplier Material, Work Task) in question and enter the required quantity
in the Qty Reserved field. Save, and the quantity you do not want to pick is no longer
reserved.

then parts will be automatically reserved for the supplier material.
- If parts are available in stock and if the criteria in Create Reservations are met,
then parts will be automatically reserved for the work task if the line is released and not a repair or sourced
by the contractor.
- If you have scheduled the task as a background job, the task will be automatically performed based on the
specified selection criteria.
- When all of the required quantity is not available in stock, the line will be partly reserved.
- The system will not handle expired parts.
- For source lines connected to a shipment, the next event in the shipment flow will be triggered if the
shipment type allows this. When reserving with this activity, any optional events, defined to be executed at
reservation in the shipment flow, will not be triggered.
