Print Pick List
Explanation
Whenever the parts are reserved and a pick list is created, you can print the pick list to
inform the warehouse staff of what and how much to pick for each specific material demand line. The pick list can
be printed in the
Print Pick Lists page and can thereafter be printed, viewed online or previewed
from the
Report Archive page.
In the Print Pick Lists page you can see information about how the pick list is consolidated, via the
Pick
Lists(s) per, Source Ref 1, Source Ref 2 and
Shipment ID fields. If consolidation is done
values are concatenated, e.g. if a pick list contains multiple customer orders, tasks those are concatenated in the
Source Ref 1 field.
Printing of pick list can also be initiated via selection parameter when creating pick lists via batch jobs.
Pick lists that are created in the shipment, or the consolidated shipment will always be per shipment. In a
shipment or consolidated shipment, you can print those pick lists using the
Print Pick List
command. When printed from the consolidated shipment, pick lists per shipment ID are printed for all connected
shipments.
Prerequisites
For pick lists with no shipment connection
- Source line(s) should not be connected to a shipment.
- Source line(s) must have been reserved.
- A pick list must have been generated.
For pick list with shipment connection
- Source line(s) should be connected to a shipment
- Shipment line(s) must have been reserved.
- A pick list must have been generated.
- For a pick list to be printed automatically via the shipment flow, the shipment type must
have been defined accordingly.
- The pick list must be consolidated per shipment ID to be able to print the pick list on
the shipment or on the consolidated shipment.
System Effects
For pick lists with no shipment connection
- A pick list printout will be generated and placed in the report archive. Print or preview
your report from Report Archive.
- The act of printing a pick list does not normally change the order status. However, for
Customer Order the status may change if there is no stop in the customer order type specified for the customer
order.
For pick list with shipment connection
- Pick list printouts will be generated for all the pick lists created in previous
steps.
- Those pick list printouts created in the shipment can also be viewed online
directly.
- When a pick list is printed in the shipment, the next event in the shipment flow will be
triggered if the shipment type allows this.
