Connect Permit

Explanation

A permit can be connected to a selected set of work task/s or all work tasks in a work order. This can be done by creating a permit or conecting an existing permit. If you choose to create a permit, the new permit will receive a unique sequence number and will be connected to the relevant work tasks

This can be done from

Prepare work order page Permit command group New Permit and Connect Permit commands to connect a permit to all work tasks in the work order

Work task page Permit tab  New Permit and Connect Permit commands to connect a permit to the work task

Prerequisites

To connect existing permits:

• Permits must be defined in the Permit page.

To create and connect new permits

• Permit types must be defined in Permit and Isolation Basic Data/Permit Types.

System Effects

• As a result of this activity, a permit is connected to work task
• If you chose to create a permit, the new permit will receive a unique sequence number and will be connected to the work tasks
