Unassign Tasks And Faults

Explanation

Use this activity to remove one or more tasks or non-routines from a work package when they should no longer be part of that check.

You unassign from the Assigned Tasks tab of the Aircraft Work Package page. Select the tasks or non-routines to remove and click Unassign Tasks And Faults. In the Unassign Task Details dialog you enter a reason, where one is required, and a note that explains why the work is being taken out of the package. When you select several rows together, Unassign Tasks And Faults can be performed at once for the selection.

Unassigning returns the task or non-routine to the unassigned list, from where it can be brought into another work package. To assign tasks and faults to a work package, see Assign Tasks and Faults.

Prerequisites

• The task or non-routine is currently assigned to the work package and appears on the Assigned Tasks tab.

Procedure

1. Open the work package on the Aircraft Work Package page.
2. Open the Assigned Tasks tab.
3. Select the task(s) or non-routine(s) to remove.
4. Select Unassign Tasks And Faults.
5. In the Unassign Task Details dialog, select a Reason if one is required, and enter a Note.
6. Select Ok.

System Effects

• The selected tasks and non-routines are removed from the work package.
• They return to the unassigned list and can be assigned to another work package.
• The reason and note are recorded against the unassignment.
