Define a New Skill
Explanation
Use this activity to create a resource group of type Person that represents an aviation maintenance skill.
Prerequisites
- The matching skill must exist in CAMO.
- The company must exist.
- The sites must exist.
- The resource attributes CERTIFIER-CERTIFICATE, EXECUTOR-CERTIFICATE, and INSPECTOR-CERTIFICATE must exist.
Resource attributes are usually created automatically.
Procedure
- Sign in to IFS Cloud.
- Go to New Resource Group.
- Enter the Resource ID and Description. The Resource ID
must match the skill code in CAMO.
- Select Person Group as the Resource Type.
- Select Use in Maintenance.
- Select the Company and Site.
- Select Next, and then select Finish.
- Select Resource Group to open the Resource Details page.
- On the Attributes tab, add these resource attributes.
- EXECUTOR-CERTIFICATE
- CERTIFIER-CERTIFICATE
- INSPECTOR-CERTIFICATE
- For each resource attribute, enter the attribute text in this format.
- <Resource-ID>-<text> (for example, MECH-EXECUTOR)
- <Resource-ID>-<text> (for example, MECH-CERTIFIER)
- <Resource-ID>-<text> (for example, MECH-INSPECTOR)
Make sure the attribute text doesn't exceed 20 characters.
System Effects
- A resource group of type Person Group that represents the skill is created.
- The resource group is connected to the company and selected sites.
- Certificate attributes for certifier, executor, and inspector roles are available on the resource group.
