Define Follow-On-Tasks
Explanation
This activity is used to define or confirm follow-on tasks/inspections that must run after a fault is deferred
using a deferral reference (typically recurring inspections configured on the MEL/CDL deferral reference).
Prerequisites
- Deferral reference includes follow-on / recurring inspection definitions, or manual follow-on tasks are
required when the reference was entered manually.
- Fault deferral is approved/recorded (or about to be recorded).
System Effects
- Applicable follow-on recurring inspections are initiated automatically when the deferral reference is
used.
- If automatic initiation is not possible, follow-on tasks must be initiated manually and a warning may be
shown.
- Follow-on work appears on the maintenance due list for continued airworthiness control of the deferred
fault.
