Reject Deferral Request

Explanation

This activity is used by MOC to reject a deferral reference authorization request so the fault remains open (typically still in the work package) and cannot be deferred using the selected reference.

Prerequisites

• A pending deferral reference authorization request exists on Pending Reference Approvals.
• MOC has reviewed MEL/CDL applicability and cumulative operational impact.

System Effects

• The authorization request is rejected; the fault remains open for repair or an alternate deferral path.
• Technician sees the rejection status on the fault / workscope and must select another reference or proceed with repair.
• No deferred fault status is created for this request.
