Review all Open Faults

Explanation

This activity is used by Maintenance Operations Control (MOC) / Line Maintenance to review all open faults for the aircraft (or fleet) before deciding whether a fault can be deferred under MEL/CDL operational restrictions.

Prerequisites

• Open faults exist for the aircraft (raised as logbook / work package faults).
• The user has access to Faults Management and/or aircraft Open Faults views.
• MEL/CDL deferral references are available when assessing deferral options (Deferral Reference baseline).

System Effects

• MOC/technician identifies candidate faults for deferral versus repair/AOG handling.
• Open fault list is used as the starting point for subsequent MEL/CDL review, cumulative restriction checks, and deferral authorization.
• No deferral is recorded in this activity; it is a readiness/review gate.
