Review Deferral Requests

Explanation

This activity is used to review deferral requests against the applicable MEL/CDL (and other approved deferral references), including the selected deferral class/category and related technical information, before MOC approval.

Prerequisites

• A deferral reference has been selected (or entered) for the fault and an authorization request was created when MOC approval is required.
• Deferral Reference baseline exists (MEL/CDL entries loaded/active where applicable).
• User has access to MOC Deferral Management / Pending Reference Approvals.

System Effects

• MOC reviews the requested deferral reference, severity/class, and related operational impact information.
• Controller may change the deferral reference to a more appropriate MEL/CDL entry before approving or rejecting.
• Outcome feeds Approval to Defer Fault / Reject Deferral Request.
