Review Open and Pending Faults on Decision Support

Explanation

This activity is used to identify cumulative / combined operational restrictions by reviewing decision-support information for the selected deferral: other open/pending deferrals on the aircraft, operational restrictions and performance penalties, conflicting/associated deferral references, capabilities/capability levels, and related follow-on inspections.

Prerequisites

• A deferral reference is selected for the fault under review.
• Open and deferred faults for the aircraft are visible.
• Decision-support data for the reference (restrictions, conflicts, capabilities, inspections) is configured on the deferral reference where applicable.

System Effects

• Technician/MOC confirms whether the proposed deferral is acceptable considering cumulative MEL/CDL restrictions and aircraft operating constraints.
• If cumulative impact is unacceptable, the deferral may be rejected, an alternate reference selected, or the fault routed to repair/AOG handling.
• Supports the go/no-go decision before requesting or granting MOC authorization.
