Update Dispatch System

Explanation

This activity is used to notify Dispatch of MEL/CDL operational restrictions resulting from an approved (or proposed) fault deferral so flight operations can apply the restriction in the dispatch system.

Prerequisites

• Deferral decision and operational restriction details are known (MEL/CDL class, capability impact, performance penalties).
• Dispatch / flight operations channel is defined for the operator.

System Effects

• Dispatch receives the restriction information needed to operate the aircraft under the deferred fault.
• In ICAM, Flight Details / Fleet Status can support visibility of aircraft operational context; external dispatch system update may remain operator-specific (hybrid/manual).
