Define Maintenance Program Details
Explanation
This activity is used to create or update the core details of an Asset Maintenance Program for an aircraft or
other assembly (for example an engine or APU). A maintenance program is a collection of requirement and reference
document definitions for a particular assembly/operator context. Typical fields include Code (unique per assembly),
Name, Operator, optional External Revision Number, and Description. The same program concept can later be shared
across operators through revisions.
Prerequisites
- The user must have access to Aviation Maintenance > Aviation Engineering > Maintenance Program
Management > Maintenance Program and Task Definition Management > Asset Maintenance Program.
- The target assembly and operator context must already exist in ICAM.
- Requirement definitions (5.34) and reference document definitions (5.35) that will be assigned should already
exist (or be created before assignment).
System Effects
- The maintenance program is created in BUILD status (or updated while editable).
- Subsequent activities can assign requirements/reference documents, evaluate impact, lock, approve, and
activate the program.
