Lock Maintenance Program

Explanation

This activity is used to Lock the maintenance program so definition changes are blocked while approval proceeds (standard prelude to Approve / Activate), consistent with Lock on requirements and blocks. Locking also prevents automatic updates of assigned requirements and reference documents to newer revisions while the program is being validated.

Prerequisites

• A maintenance program revision must exist in BUILD or REVISION status and be eligible for locking.
• Assigned program content should be complete enough for review/approval.

System Effects

• The program becomes locked; manual edits and automatic definition updates are restricted.
• Approval/validation can proceed; keep the program locked through activation after approval so assigned revisions remain the approved set.
