Create CPQ Configuration
Explanation
This activity is used to create and maintain the CPQ Configuration. This is done by selecting a record in
CPQ list or tab and using Configure which will navigate you to the CPQ
Configuration. You can configure your product in this page and using Confirm at the bottom you can
get the relevant source lines created in the source object with correct sales part, quantity, and with the correct
Configuration ID as per the CTO setup. These source line quantities and configurations cannot be
changed for each source line indvidually. Changes are only possible using Change Configuration in
CPQ list or tab.
When creating source lines, all validations related to source line creation and configuration creation is
executed including sales rules when applicable.
Prerequisites
- IFS CPQ must be installed.
- Logged in user must be defined as a CPQ User.
- A configurator model should be connected to the source object.
- Source object should be in a status where creation of new source lines is allowed.
- Sales parts and CTO setup which are required for the CPQ configuration must exist.
System Effects
- Source lines are created with the sales part and the quantity as per the CPQ Configuration.
- Quantity changes for the created source lines will be disabled for individual lines.
- If the sales parts are configured parts, such lines will be fully configured as per the CTO setup and will be
saved with Configuration Status Complete.
- CPQ Configurator Line No of the source line will be updated by the Configurator Line
No of the CPQ record which created the source line.
- Source Line Status of CPQ tab or list will be updated by the
Status of the respective souurce line.
- Status of the record in CPQ tab or list will be set to
Configured.
- Status changes for the created sales quotation lines will be disabled for individual lines, but will be
enabled in the CPQ tab or list where the status of the source lines can be controlled
collectively per CPQ Configurator.
- Status changes for the created opportunity lines will be disabled for individual lines, but will be enabled
in the CPQ tab or list where the status of the source lines can be controlled
collectively per CPQ Configurator.
