Add Repair Codes Manually on Disposition Shop Order

Explanation

You can add repair codes manually on a disposition shop order line to indicate the repairs to be performed.

The list of available repair codes includes codes defined for the identified real part on the disposition line and, when setup exists, repair codes defined for the position part. When the same repair code and site combination exists for both the real part and the position part, only the real part entry appears in the list of values.

When you select a repair code from position part setup, the Position Part column on the Repair Codes tab shows the position part number. When you select a code from real part the Position Part column is empty.

When repair codes are generated from modifications and/or discrepancies, if a repair code is defined as External, the default supplier and external service type are copied to the disposition line when only one external repair code applies, or when all external repair codes share the same supplier and external service type. If several external repair codes use different suppliers or external service types, you must specify supplier and external service type on the disposition line. The same applies when manually added repair codes conflict with a defaulted supplier or external service type.
