Technicians can create return lines for non-repairable parts using Create Return Line on the Part Removals tab.
Parts are usually returned when they are no longer fit for use (wear, damage, or end of life), when they are held in quarantine for possible defects or quality checks, or when they are removed while still serviceable so they can go back to stock for later use.
For repairable parts, return lines are created automatically when material is requested for the task. They are also created when you publish the work package with part removals, or when you add a removal in the Add/Remove Part assistant. Return lines are not created if the removal reason is Access, ROB, or Swap.
You must be online to perform this procedure.
