Review Aircraft Turn

Explanation

Review details for an aircraft turn to prepare for maintenance execution.

As a supervisor, you can use the Station Turns page to view details of turns for a station and navigate to work assignments.

In addition, as a technician or supervisor you can use the My Aircraft Turns page on IFS Cloud Web to view aircraft turns for the airport defined for your user. The list obeys the Show Inbound Turns for the Next (Hours) and Show All Turns for the last (Hours) values on the Airport or Airports page, except that on the web, turns with at least one work package in Active or In Work still appear even when they fall outside the last-hours window. For administrator setup, see Configure Airport Settings for Display.

For an aircraft turn, details related to the arrival flight and departure flight, if any, are displayed. A departure flight is linked to an aircraft turn if there is a flight scheduled to depart after the arrival flight for a particular aircraft from the same airport. Scheduled arrival and departure dates and times are displayed, until the actual date and time for flights are recorded.

An aircraft turn takes on a status as follows:

On IFS Cloud Web, for a turn in Released status, you can select Raise Fault on Aircraft Turn Details to record a fault after the aircraft is back for maintenance. The Raise Logbook Fault assistant opens; when you complete it, the turn returns to In Maintenance. See Raise Fault.

If a work package has been scheduled after the arrival time of the flight arriving at your maintenance location, it will be displayed for the turn.

On the Aircraft Turn Details page, you can review work packages for the turn, as well as the open, deferred, and closed faults at the aircraft level. On the Line Maintenance Work Package Execution page, you can review the open, deferred, and closed faults at the work package level.
