Connect Contract Line to Task

Explanation

Once you connect a hangar maintenance contract to a work package, you can connect the contract lines of it to the work scope items in the work package. 

The work package commercials are analyzed and calculated for each task based on the contract line you connect to it. 

You can also disconnect or modify an already connected line from a task. However, you cannot change a contract group/line on tasks that are in the In Work or Completed statuses.

Prerequisites

To connect a contract line to a task in a work package;  

• Create a contract. For information on creating the contract, see ICAM Documentation. 
• Define contract lines in the contract. For more information on creating contract rules, refer to ICAM Documentation. 
• The task must be in Active status to connect/disconnect a contract line to/from it.  
• For cap-exceeded non-routines, which require commercial approval, you cannot disconnect a contract line from their corrective task, if their non-routine approval request status is Awaiting Approval, Approved, or Rejected as illustrated in the table below.

Procedure

1. Log in as a Production Planner. 
2. Navigate to the Hangar Maintenance Work Package page. 
3. Select a single task or multiple tasks in the Workscope tab and click Connect Contract Line(s).   
4. Select the contract group and contract line, which you want to connect. 
5. Click Save. 

   Tip: You can change a connected contract line to another by repeating steps 3-5 above. Also, click Disconnect Contract Line to disconnect an already connected contract line. 

System Effects

Contract rules are connected/disconnected to/from the work scope tasks via the connected contract lines.
