Add Mx Events/Repairs to Approved Disposition Lines

Explanation

This activity is used to add new modifications, discrepancies, or repairs to parts that are already in repair, that is, when disposition lines are already approved.

When an external service order exists, you cannot add another external repair unless an internal repair shop order also exists or is added.

Adding new modifications is only allowed for dispositions connected to Complex Assembly MRO work scopes. For CRO repairs, it is not allowed.

Prerequisites

The disposition code for the disposition line should be set to report discrepancies when you add new discrepancies.

The disposition code for the disposition line should be set to repair required to add new modifications or repairs.

When both internal and external repair orders or only an internal repair order exist, internal repair shop order product status should not be received or partially received.

When only an external repair order exists it should not be arrived, partially received, received, cancelled or closed.

System Effects

When new modifications added, once the modifications are approved, repair orders are automatically updated or created based on the repair codes connected to the modifications.

When new discrepancies or repairs are added, repairs are updated or created automatically when the value Auto Update Repairs on Approved Disposition Lines option is set to Yes on the Site page, under the Manufacturing record selector, MRO tab. If the value is No, repairs need to be updated manually.

When new repair codes are added and repairs are updated automatically or manually, the system checks whether repair codes from position part setup and real part setup on the same disposition line share operation numbers. If they do, the update is blocked until the conflict is resolved.
