Use this activity to analyze the component structure included in a specific scrap transaction for a shop order. The activity is relevant when scrap is reported for the main product on a shop order for a part that is serial tracked, lot/batch tracked, or both, and configured for multilevel tracking.
The page shows the components included in the scrapped parent part. Only components that can be determined with certainty to be included in the scrapped parent are shown. Therefore, the system includes only components connected to operations up to and including the operation on which the scrap was reported. Components connected to parallel operations, or to operations that are not connected to any operation, are excluded.
For components with Reserve/Issue Method set to Manual, and for components connected to operations where Manual Operation Qty is enabled, only the quantity that would otherwise result in an excess quantity in the remaining tracked structure is included. However, when scrap is reported on the operation to which a component with Manual Operation Qty is connected, the full component quantity is included.
