Cancel Shop Order
Explanation
Use this activity to cancel a shop order. I.e. change the status of the shop order to Cancelled
and make it unavailable for further processing.
Note:
- It is not advisable to cancel a MRO shop order. If a MRO shop order should be canceled it is better to close
it instead.
- It is not possible to cancel a disposition shop order via the cancel action. Before canceling a disposition
shop order you need to unrelease the CRO line.
Prerequisites
This activity requires the existence of a shop order in the Planned, Released, or Reserved
status.
If a shop order is manually pegged against a customer order line, purchase order line or a shop order, then the
pegging has to be removed first.
System Effects
As a result of this activity:
- The selected shop order is set to Cancelled status.
- All material reservations and operation scheduling connected to the shop order are canceled.
- Capacity and material previously reserved for the shop order become available for other shop orders.
- All material lines and operation lines on the shop order are set to Cancelled status.
- If an operation is connected to an operation block, it is disconnected from the block.
- If an MRO shop order is canceled, it is not possible to create a new order.
- If the shop order is connected to a batch balance, the connected node is reconnected to the shop order
requisition from which it was created.
- If the shop order has WIP products connected to shipment lines, those shipment lines are deleted.
