Use this activity to add several inventory parts to a site planning lever at once. On the Parts tab of the Inventory Part Planning Levers - Site page, click Add Parts to open the assistant. The assistant lists the inventory parts of the site together with their current planning data, for example, the planning method, safety stock, lot sizes, product family, product code, and planner, so you can search for and filter the parts to include.
Click Add Selected Parts to add the parts you have selected in the list, or click Add Filtered Parts to add all parts that match the current search criteria. The parts are added to the planning lever with their current live planning values. Parts with live planning method O or T cannot be added, and parts that already exist on the planning lever are not eligible. If the live planning method of a part is N, planning method A is used as the simulation planning method.
Bulk adding parts is useful when a simulation should vary the planning parameters of a larger group of parts, for example, all parts of one planner or one product family. The simulation values to override are then entered as described in the Modify Inventory Part Planning Parameters activity.
