Create Site Planning Lever

Explanation

Use this activity to create a planning lever for a site on the Inventory Part Planning Levers - Site page. A site planning lever is a named, reusable set of simulation planning parameter values for selected inventory parts, applied when an MRP, Master Scheduling, or PMRP simulation is executed with the lever for a Material Planning Scenario other than scenario 1.

Create the planning lever by specifying the Site, a planning lever ID, and a description. You can also enter a note describing, for example, the purpose of the lever. The parts the lever affects and their simulation values are maintained afterwards on the Parts tab.

Prerequisites

• A user-allowed site must exist.

System Effects

• The site planning lever is created. Inventory parts can be added to it, and it becomes available for selection in the Perform MRP Simulation, Calculate Master Schedule Level 1, and Perform PMRP Simulation assistants for Material Planning Scenarios other than scenario 1, and for connection to network planning levers.
