Connect Isolation ID

Explanation

Use this activity to connect an isolation template to a PM Action. You can connect an isolation template on the PM Action header so that it is inherited by all work lists, or connect an isolation template to one or more selected work lists using Permits and Isolations.

Isolations describe how a certain part of the facility should be shut down temporarily, so that the specified work can be carried out under safe conditions. When work orders are generated from the maintenance plan, an isolation order is created from the isolation template and connected to the relevant permit and work tasks.

Prerequisites

• Permit types, isolation types and a connection between them must have been defined in Permit and Isolation Basic Data.
• Isolation templates must have been defined and approved in IFS/Equipment.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, isolation templates are connected to the PM action work list or work lists. Connected isolation templates are used when work orders are generated from the maintenance plan.
