Connect Permit Type and Isolation Template to Work Task Template

Explanation

Use this activity to connect one or more permit types and isolation templates to a work task template. Permit types ensure that the maintenance work in the facility can be performed under safe conditions. You can connect a permit type or isolation template on the work task template header so that it is inherited by all work lists, or connect them to one or more selected work lists using Permits and Isolations.

Isolations describe how a certain part of the facility should be shut down temporarily, so that the specified work can be carried out under safe conditions.

When the work task template is connected to a work order, permits and isolation orders are created from the work list connections and connected to the relevant work tasks. When the work task template is used on a PM action, the permit types and isolation templates are copied to the corresponding PM action work lists.

Prerequisites

• Permit types, isolation types and a connection between them must be defined in  Isolation Types, Permit Types and Allowed Connections Permit/Isolation page.
• Isolations should be registered in Isolation page.
• The work task template should not be active.

System Effects 

As a result of this activity, permit types and isolation templates are connected to the work task template work list or work lists.
