Use this activity to connect a permit type to a PM Action. A common permit type is Safety Regulations, intended to ensure employee safety. You can connect a permit type on the PM Action header so that it is inherited by all work lists, or connect a permit type to one or more selected work lists using Permits and Isolations.
Permits are created and connected to the relevant work tasks when work orders are generated from the maintenance plan, and could be printed along with the work order. You can also link permit types used for pure instructions for the PM action.

As a result of this activity, permit types are connected to the PM action work list or work lists. Connected permit types are used when work orders are generated from the maintenance plan.
