Define FAI Control Plan Header
Explanation
This activity is used to create a new control plan header for First Article Inspection (FAI) control plan.
To create a new FAI control plan header, click Create Control Plan in the FAI header.
- If Receipt Not Allowed is enabled for a control plan manufacturing header, all analyses
connected to the shop order for the main product, by-products, co-products, or disassembly components need to be
confirmed, and all time triggers need to be stopped in order to receive any of the parts.
Prerequisites
- To create a FAI control plan, a FAI ID in status Planned must exists.
- For Manufacturing First Article Inspections, the FAI part must have a Buildable structure
and a Buildable routing.
- For Supplier First Article Inspections, the FAI part must have a Supplier defined.
System Effects
As a result of this activity, a FAI control plan header is created in the Control Plan
Manufacturing or Control Plan Purchasing page linked to the specific First
Article Inspection.
