This activity is used to set the FAI status to Expired.
In Manufacturing First Article Inspection, when the time lapse between completion of the last production shop order and the actual restart of production exceeds two years, the FAI should be considered Expired.
In Supplier First Article Inspection, when the time lapse between latest purchase order line closed date and actual releasing of a new purchase order line exceeds two years, the FAI should be considered Expired.
To set the FAI status to Expired manually, click Expired under the Status button on the FAI header. This can be done at any time for an FAI in status Approved.
