This activity is used to create an email from a business activity, business opportunity, account or account contact. Click the mail icon in the Business Activity, Business Opportunity, Account-CRM, or Account Contact page header to open the Send E-Mail dialog. Contacts and representatives from the record are listed as recipients in the Send E-Mail dialog. By default, contacts are added as To recipients and representatives are added as Cc recipients, but these settings can be modified before the email is sent to Outlook. Select the contacts to include in the email and click Send to Outlook to open a new email in Outlook. The activity subject or opportunity description is used as the email subject. The email addresses of the selected contacts and representatives are added to the recipient list.
If the Include attached documents when sending E-Mail from IFS Cloud Web on the CRM/SRM Panel Settings page is enabled, the Attached Documents list is displayed in the Send E-Mail dialog. Documents attached to the opportunity or activity are listed, and you can select which documents to include as email attachments. Only documents directly connected to the object are available in the list. You can also add other documents that are not connected to the object by clicking Attach Existing in the Attached Documents list. Select the attachments to include in the email and click Send to Outlook to open a new e-mail in Outlook. The Outlook add-in CRM-Panel is used to attach the selected documents to the email. To open the CRM-panel automatically when creating new emails, you can pin the add-in. Open the CRM-Panel from a new email and click the pin icon while in compose mode.
Compose the email and optionally add additional recipients or attachments before sending it. To create a business mail and connect it to the activity, opportunity, account, or contact, use Send and Save in the CRM-Panel. When you click Send and Save, the activity, opportunity or account from which the email was initiated is automatically prepopulated. If the email was initiated from an account contact, the contact is automatically added as a reference to the business mail if the contact can be identified through the email address.
Selecting recipients and documents for the email is supported only from the Business Activity, Business Opportunity, Account-CRM, and Account Contact pages. However, you can send an email to individual contacts from the contacts list on other CRM pages. Click the mail icon next to the contact's e-mail address. When an email is created from a selected contact, the Send E-Mail dialog is not used. Instead, the e-mail opens directly in Outlook. Write the email message and click Send or use Send and Save in the CRM-Panel to save the email as a business mail.
The email is opened in Outlook (Classic) or New Outlook, depending on which app is configured as the default app for MAILTO links.
If the CRM-panel is used to send the email, a business mail is created and linked to the business activity, business opportunity, account and/or contact. Attached documents are added as attachments to the business mail.
