Use this activity to create a request quotation directly from a business opportunity or specific opportunity lines. This ensures traceability between the initial sales opportunity and the resulting quotation. A record of the Request Quotation is added to the References tab of the Business Opportunity, enabling navigation between the two.
When you initiate this activity, an assistant opens where you can specify the Coordinator and Currency. Once the request quotation is created, the status of the business opportunity is automatically updated to In Progress, and a reference to the request quotation is added to the References tab of the business opportunity.
Note: While a reference is created between the two objects, part details from the business opportunity lines are not automatically transferred to the request quotation.
Request Quotation in Draft status will be created and the status of the Business Opportunity is set to In Progress.
