About this guide¶

This guide details the Modelling schema. The Modelling Database is used by various products including the Advanced Resource Planner. Refer to the Interface Guide for guidelines on how to interface with the database.

Data entry tables may be maintained via the interface unless otherwise stated. All data entry tables have organisation id and dataset id as part of their primary key in the database, though it is only necessary to provide this information via the RAM_Update row when submitting data.

Backwards Compatibility¶

As a general principle, all aspects of the interface are kept backwards compatible wherever possible. This means that under normal circumstances it should always be possible to upgrade to a new version of the software without any changes being required to the integration.

If updates are made to the software that require changes to the integration for any reason, these will be documented in the 'Appendix: Deprecated and Removed Features' section of the Release Enhancements Guide.
