Installer Enhancements¶
Azure database passwords¶
The PSO Installer in Azure Mode has been expanded to accept custom passwords for the Azure database server and the Azure database. The custom password can be set for 'ifs' and 'IFS_Scheduling' database users in a new Azure installation. However when updating an Azure install or exporting from it, if the Azure database server or the Azure database uses a custom password, the same needs to be provided. This functionality is also supported in the Command Line Installer.
Azure VM upgrade options¶
The policy for applying Windows VM upgrades can now be selected in the installer from the following options:
- Automatic - VM Scale Set managed - OS Upgrades are automatically managed at the VM Scale Set level. A maintenance control configuration can be configured in the Azure portal after each installation.
- Automatic - VM Windows Update (Legacy) - OS Upgrades are automatically managed by Windows Update inside each VM.
- Manual - OS Upgrades are manually managed at the VM Scale Set level.
Minor Enhancements¶
- Health checks are now enabled on Azure virtual machine scale set instances provided by the SSM. Once the machine has been fully configured and the SSM has started the machine will be listed as healthy.
- Updated the list of selectable Azure machines to include memory optimized options and removed old machine versions.
- The delete inactive organisation functionality has been removed from the installer and is instead available from the workbench.
- Added PSO Base Image support for the Norway East and Switzerland North Azure regions.
