PSO Workbench Enhancements

Below is a brief description of the enhancements in this version.

Note

Please note that the old Silverlight Workbench is no longer being made available and users are now expected to use the new HTML workbench for all their requirements.

Bulk Manual Changes

The functionality for making changes to activities on the workbench has been extended to allow bulk changes to be made. This means the user can now select multiple activities and execute changes to all selected activities at once.

In brief, the functionality works as follows:

  • Make sure adequate permissions are enabled for manual changes.
  • While holding Ctrl select more than one activity on the Gantt.
  • Select the edit icon, like when editing a single activity.
  • A Bulk Changes side panel will open which will allow bulk changes to be made and applied.

Additional Functionality

The following minor features have also been added:

  • Relative Time Filtering: Filtering by date now supports relative or absolute time filters.
  • Filter Unavailabilities: Unavailabilities can now be ignored when loading data from the Advanced Resource Planner using the new source data parameter 'ignore_unavailabilities'.
  • Cyclic Operation Scheduling Planning Pages: New screens have been added to the planning workspace to support Cyclic Operation Scheduling involving Operations, Usage Classes and Usage Models.
  • WISE Resource Settings: The resource type will be displayed when checking the resource settings using the WISE.
  • Analysis Data Units: The Analysis data will now show the unit of measurement or percentage where required.
  • Default Login Account: The workbench default login page is now configurable through the parameter 'DefaultLoginAccount' where an account id can be specified by the head organisation.
  • Snapshot Parameter Limits: New limits have been defined when configuring snapshot parameters limiting the frequency at which snapshotting can occur.

Documentation and Support

The PSO Workbench User Guide includes details of all functionality, and these details are also available from within the workbench itself, via the context specific help.
