Planning Enhancements¶

Shift Generation¶

The Resource Planner allows the user to generate new shifts over existing shifts as long as collision does not occur.

Resource Planning Service¶

A new request type has been added to the Resource Planning Service which when validating a rota will verify any rules and calculate requirements for both roles and positions. The Resource Planning Service will also cache any rotas currently being worked on for validation.

Requirements Planning and Rotas (Beta)¶

Additional functionality has been added to the Resource Planner but is currently in beta and may not be fully implemented. The Resource Planner can automatically generate a rota using the Dynamic Scheduling Engine. The Dynamic Scheduling Engine will optimise and plan shifts for all resources over a given time window. New pages have been added to the Data Management workspace allowing the user to configure Roles and Positions to be used in advanced resource planning.
