Set Up IFS Connect for Allowable Configuration Integration with Maintenix

Specific configurations must be made to set up IFS Connect for Allowable Configuration to work with Maintenix.

Co-Deployed IFS Cloud and Maintenix

To send data from Allowable Configuration to Maintenix, the routing address of the REST endpoint must be specified. With the containerized architecture in the co-deployed setup, Maintenix uses Token-based authentication to grant access to requests from IFS Cloud.

Set Up Co-Deployed Routing Address for REST Endpoint

  1. Navigate to Integration, select IFS Connect, and open the Routing Addresses page.
  2. Click on the filter option, and enter AC% under Address Name. The following routing addresses should be visible:
    • AC_REST_ADDRESS_CO-DEPLOYED
    • AC_REST_ADDRESS
    • AC_REST_CALLBACK
    • AC_REST_ADDRESS_CONFIG_SLOT_CO-DEPLOYED
    • AC_REST_ADDRESS_CONFIG_SLOT
  3. Select AC_REST_ADDRESS_CO-DEPLOYED, and click on Details.
  4. Under REST Address Data group, the following Rest Root Endpoint and Token Endpoint are visible:
  5. Replace the placeholder <<mxserver>> with the environment’s domain name.
  6. For the Client Secret, follow these steps:
    1. Navigate to the IAM Clients page, and filter for the Client ID IFS_Connect.
    2. Copy the secret for the IFS_Connect client, and enter it to the Client Secret Field for the AC_REST_ADDRESS_CO-DEPLOYED routing address.
  7. Navigate back to the Routing Addresses page, click on the filter option, and enter AC% under Address Name.
  8. Select AC_REST_ADDRESS_CONFIG_SLOT_CO-DEPLOYED, and click on Details. Under REST Address Data group, the following Rest Root Endpoint and Token Endpoint are visible:
  9. Replace the placeholder <<mxserver>> with the environment’s domain name.
  10. For the Client Secret, follow the same steps as in Step 6 above, with the routing address AC_REST_ADDRESS_CONFIG_SLOT_CO-DEPLOYED.

Set Up Co-Deployed Routing Rule

  1. Navigate to Integration, select IFS Connect, and open the Routing Rules page.
  2. Select the Outbound tab.
  3. Click on the filter option, and enter AC% under Rule Name. The following routing addresses should be visible:
    • AC_CONFIG_SLOT_ROUTING_RULE
    • AC_ROUTING_RULE
    • AC_ROUTING_RULE_CO-DEPLOYED
    • AC_ROUTING_RULE_CONFIG_SLOT_CO-DEPLOYED
  4. Select AC_ROUTING_RULE_CO-DEPLOYED and AC_ROUTING_RULE_CONFIG_SLOT_CO-DEPLOYED, and click on the Enable Rule button.
  5. Select AC_ROUTING_RULE and AC_CONFIG_SLOT_ROUTING_RULE, and click on the Disable Rule button.
