How to create a glossary

1. Navigate to Glossaries page

2. Click the plus button and create a glossary via the assistant

3. Sync the added glossary to Purview

Simply click the Sync Glossaries button. Verify by checking whether the Status field is updated to Synced.

How to add glossary terms to a glossary

1. Navigate to Glossary Terms page

2. Click the plus button and create a glossary term via the assistant

Add details for the new glossary term. Select the glossary from the list of values in Glossary Name field.

3. Sync the added glossary term to Purview

Simply click the Sync Glossary Terms button. Verify by checking whether the Status field is updated to Synced.

How to apply a glossary term to an asset

1. Go to Search Assets Page

2. Search and select the asset

3. Go to asset detail page of the selected asset

In the asset detail page, click the plus button under Glossary Terms tab.

4. Apply the glossary term

Simply click Add Selected Glossary Terms after selecting the glossary term.

Now the user can see the added glossary term under Glossary Terms tab.
