Identity and Access Manager¶
The IFS Identity & Access Manager (IFS IAM) is configured and managed via the Solution Manager. Through this interface, you can modify external identity provider configurations, make custom client registrations, set up email integration for sending activation emails to users, and access authentication auditing tools.
External Identity Providers¶
By setting up an external identity provider, you can opt out of using the integrated IFS IAM accounts for authentication. The IFS IAM supports external identity services that adhere to the OpenID Connect specification. This includes services like Microsoft Azure AD, Okta, and many others. Refer to the documentation of the specific identity provider for the necessary details.
Custom Clients¶
If an external application needs to access the system, you will need to register it as a custom client. This can be done on the IAM Client page within Solution Manager.
IAM Configuration¶
Configure your basic Authentication set up such as Password policies, IAM SMTP Email Server, Session and Token timeouts as per your business needs.
Authentication Auditing¶
IFS Cloud offers a set of authentication auditing functionalities that provide tools for administrators to audit and review information connected to user logins, sessions, and a wide range of administrative actions.
