IFS Business Reporting & Analysis supports report integration via a built-in framework
named External Report Integration. The framework is focused on integrating IFS
Enterprise Explorer with Microsoft BI reporting capabilities.
The framework supports building customer solutions with built-in capabilities in
IFS Enterprise Explorer for operational needs.
External Report Integration contains a report viewer that makes it possible to
view SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports directly within IFS Enterprise
Explorer.
The SSRS reports can be connected and viewed in IFS Enterprise Explorer in two ways:
Links to Microsoft Excel dashboards can also be created through Quick
Reports and categorized into dashboard folders in the IFS Enterprise Explorer
navigator.
End-users can start the Microsoft Report Builder tool through IFS Enterprise
Explorer and create their own ad-hoc reports, which they then store in the own
private storage area on the Microsoft Report Server. These reports can also be
viewed within IFS Enterprise Explorer.
